Kurt Wassenaar is a serial entrepreneur and investor with a track record of founding and scaling technology-driven healthcare companies. Performance Medical Technologies is his ninth startup. He previously served as CEO of Medical Automation Systems, which transformed point-of-care diagnostic data and was acquired by Alere (now part of Abbott).
Mr. Wassenaar also co-founded The Epsilon Group, advancing FDA-approved in-silico modeling for diabetes trials, and led Computational Diagnostics, which developed the first FDA-approved non-invasive neonatal sepsis test.
He holds degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science, and a Master of Architecture in clinical facility design, all from the University of Michigan.
